These hounds are outgoing, active, very energetic, and friendly. Affectionate with their family, they are known as excellent trackers and wonderful family companions. Natural clowns, they remain playful and busy-like when they become adults. They bond to all members of the family, sharing their love equally. Training can be not very easy, since these dogs have a stubborn stroke. They will make wonderful pets for people leading an active life and are not recommended for families that have little time for a pet. To become good pets these dogs need much interaction, exercise and discipline. It's very important to give a puppy obedience lessons to prevent it from roaming.
